Being nervous and experiencing worry are a normal part of life – chronic worry, constant ‘what if’ thoughts, is something that will negatively affect your health if untreated. #mindfulness proposes a healthy way to deal with worry is to respond vs react – acknowledge, honor, accept we are nervous, worried, fearful, concerned; then take a deep breath and notice thoughts and emotions as you are processing information and experiencing the situation while keeping focused on the present moment to keep judgement and catastrophic thinking at bay.
